Open Level Chairlesque - The Feminist Movement with Ember Rose
Wednesday 8pm with Ember Rose
Essential Talent (upstairs 12 - 20 Morney St, Adelaide)
What you will learn: Join Ember Rose as you celebrate the feminist wave of the 60’s & 70’s, break out of gendered roles and pay tribute to those who paved the way. This class will feature dancing with and on chairs.
Song: Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves by Aretha Franklin + Run the World (Girls) by Beyonce.
Physicality: Beginner level burlesque skills required - this routine is centered around chairs, you will be sitting, kneeling, climbing and standing on this prop.
Costume: charactered ‘housewife’ outfit , different worker’s uniforms + lingerie, Heels and tights + pasties.
Chairs will be provided or bring own. To be discussed in class.
Open Level: Must have completed at least one term in beginners or enrolled in beginners during the same term as you plan to enrol in Open Level. Developing stage craft and refining movement with reflections on core burlesque skills.
Important Note: Hot Sauce Burlesque is going dark (no classes) 10th-15th Feb.
